Gina Drummond

Gina Drummond has provided administrative and research support for Spiegare since its inception in 2014. Originally Gina studied art history and anthropology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and came to Australia to study materials conservation at the then Canberra College of Advanced Education. On graduating, Gina worked at the Australian Museum, Sydney; the National Museum of New Zealand; the National Museum of Australia; and the Australian War Memorial. She was also a sessional lecturer in objects and textile conservation at the University of Canberra over several years and trained a number of conservators who work in public institutions and in private practice in Australia today. Gina then moved into an Executive Officer role at the Australian War Memorial, a role which she undertook for seven years.

In 2008, Gina moved to an administrative support role at CSIRO with Cameron Begley in the Division of Entomology, and at the same time completed a graduate diploma in legal studies through the University of New England. Following a restructure at CSIRO in 2014, Gina moved to a role providing operations support to the new business unit of Land and Water, where she was involved in planning and project managing office relocations and the upgrading of Land and Water facilities. Gina left CSIRO in 2019 to pursue other interests and continues to support the team at Spiegare.
